21 & Over- Movie Review

Boring, predictable teen flick, wanna-be Hangover, wanna-be Harold & Kumar and a total waste of time and money.

The Hangover 2- Movie Review

I’d seen The Hangover and loved it, like most people. It was an awesome movie and totally entertaining. Did The Hangover 2 live up to our expectations? Did it change the common thinking that sequels can never be better than the original film? Well, you’re just about to find out!

Stu is getting married in Thailand and his friends Phil, Alan and Doug join him to be a part of the ceremony. Stu doesn’t want a Bachelor’s party, especially after what happened in Vegas but his friends manage to get him out for a drink and some marshmallows. They also are forced to chill with Stu’s fiancée’s brother Ted. The story starts when they wake up and realize they’re all somewhere else, hung over and cannot find Ted!

It started decently and then it became a little slow and then it became even slower and started dragging and when it was about to reach the point of no return, it got better, unfortunately, only at the time of the closing credits. So yeah, The Hangover 2 was very disappointing. There were hardly any funny scenes and hardly any adventure. Apart from a few dialogues- When Alan talks about an albino polar bear and when the ladyboy says, “You’re in Bangkok, there’s a reason they don’t call it Bangcunt” and also the scene where Alan’s raising a toast to the couple and says some really funny things, there’s not much to laugh at.

Zach Galifianakis who was hilarious in the first movie was just about ok in this one. Bradley Cooper looked great but that was it. Ed Helms is funny even without meaning to be which is nice. I also liked the mafia/drug dealer with a funny accent.

Overall, The Hangover 2 is not really worth a hangover. Watch it at home!
